stereo questions

I recently purchased an 03 Mustang for my wife and I would like to upgrade the stereo. I have done alot of searching here and Im faced with a few problems and questions.

Her stereo says Mach MP3 on it. Does this stereo have all the amps an junk along with it?

Crutchfield has no stereo that fit, they all have the note that cutting and fabbing brackets may be required, is this true?

I want to install this stereo because of the usb port and flash drive capabilities (no more scratched cds!)http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ysL1RQ6...113MP532&g=300

I have done quite a few stereo installs, just never on a car with a stereo like this, anything I should know? Thanks for the time, Dave
BTW this is her car:

My guess is that you have the Mach 1000 stereo in the car, which is quite a nice upgrade to have. The Mach 1000 upgrade comes with amps and speakers and puts out 1000 watts. There is also the Mach 460 option, which pumps out 460 watts.

If you havent already, I would recommend calling Crutchfield and talking to a rep in person, because they really are quite knowledgeable and were helpful with my car when I put a stereo in. A rep should be able to give you a more helpful response then "cutting and fabbing brackets may be required."

By the way, I'm attaching a the wiring diagram for the whole Mach 1000 stereo system. Good luck.

I would love to change out the head unit from my Mach 460 because most of the time it wont eject the cd's and I end up breaking out the needle noses. I do want to add some subs to the system but I think I am just going to leave the head unit alone. Rarely listen to the radio anyway.
