i know the console of the sn95's are similar in shape and size to T'birds, but will they interchange? I really like the idea of having cupholders and a floor mounted E-brake rather than the pedal...

I think the best thing you could do is get a SN95 and your T'bird together and actually compare. If you think it might work, get yourself to a breakers yard and get a console. The best this is, if it turns out not to fit, you can always sell it on ebay and get most of your money back.
