I talked him into the 18s rather than 17s and he didn't regret a thing!

Sweet! Thanks man!!! That looks perfect. I think the color is laser red, but it's close enough to redfire. Those Anthracite DD Bullitts look hot on that color!
He's just someone I know from another message board..as far as I know, he's not on this one but I'll find out. I have the same set of rims on my stang, and with the stock struts and springs, ride quality did not suffer noticeably from the 17" GT wheels I had on before. Wet weather traction is much better due to new tires and wider tires.
Below is a quote from a posting he made when he got them installed.
Thought some people might want to see some updated pics of my Mustang. I finally had the chance to do some wrenching on the car (I wanted to get it done before the MaPOC dyno 241/281 whp/wtq). Last week I installed some Mach 1 Tockico shock and struts, Eibach pro-kit springs and some J&M CC plates. This past week I finally installed my 18" deep dish bullitt wheels (18x9 front/18x10 rear). Along with BFG G-Force KDWS rubber (265/35/18 front/295/35/18 rear). It rides pretty good, not as harsh as I had thought with the 35' series tires and handling is quite good now. The wheel gap is also considerably better too
Other misc. stuff done since I bought the car:
Bassani SS catted x-pipe
Ford Racing 2.5" mandrel bent SS piping
Flowmaster super 40 mufflers
HD-CAI
32% tint
Here's my GT with the 18s... not lowered yet (been slackin'...)

The eibach pro-kit will ride alot smoother and softer than the H&R springs due to being a progressive rate spring. Meaning they get stiffer the more they contract. The H&R's are a linear spring rate which means they stay the same stiffness all the time, therefore giving a slightly better handling, but also at the loss of ride quality.

Yeah basically the same. Linear and progressive are just the more technical terms I am used to hearing.
With the 17's you can run a thicker side wall tire like a 45 series, but with the 18s, in the case of the sn95 mustangs, you can run at least 35s. The advantage with the 17s is that you get a thicker side wall which won't change the ride quality of your car, but with the 18s you might get a slightly rougher ride with the thinner side wall.
It would be more economical to go with 17s, but I just love the look of the 18s, especially when staggered with deep-dishes in the rear.

Thanks for the kind words on my Mustang guys
Smeech told me had posted some pics of my car for you guys.
Basically my quote that Smeech quoted from another board sums it up. I think that the ride w/the Eibach Pro-kit and Mach 1 shocks/struts ride pretty close to stock feel wise. It's not rough like I thought it would be and handling is greatly improved over stock, onramps are a blast now
Something to remember think about though. Be careful if your gonna go lower than a 1.5" drop. 2.0" might be overkill for DD, especially if you have rough roads or a lot of big bumps/speed bumps in your daily travels. I scrape at all speed bumps w/the Bassani catted X-Pipe/2.5" piping and Flows and I'm only lowered 1.5". I don't know how it is w/the stock H-Pipe and exhaust but 2.0" drop will only make it worse. With a 2.0" drop CC will also be a must.

Hey Hank, didn't know you posted!
I'm thinking about going with the FRPP B or C Springs.. I don't want to overdo it.

I don't thik that the Eibachs are that bad. Some places you drive just require a little more attention, mostly just parking lots or any where you might encounter speed bumps. Also it fills the wheel gap perfectly, it doesn't make the car look slammed but, like it came from the factory w/Eibachs. Handling is greatly improved and ride quality isn't compremised either.
What are the C/B-springs 1.2" front and 1" rear? Thats not to bad, I wonder how the ride quality is?
