NO MORE VACATIONS !!!!
i hope its ok to post this in here ... i just have to rant a little
so i have my new old mustang (i still love it) 2 weeks after i got my 94 GT convert my dad (70 years old) traded his GT-500 in on a 2013 GT convert so me and my pops come up with lets do a trip from Chicago to Pigeon forge,TN going down there was great (2 days) the cabin in the Mts. was great (5 days) get the cars (yes we had a 2 car mustang convoy -- packed up Saturday oct 26th start them since we had a frost to clean the windows right before we are gana pull out i walk in-front of my car and there is anti freeze all under my car call ford in town they dont work on Saturdays like they do in Chicago ok have it towed 40 miles to next town (knoxville TN) to a pep boys they say the radieator went and the thermostat gasket is leaking .... ok fix it also do an oil change and here is a fuel filter to put on (since i had no were to do it) so they are doing the gasket and snap a bolt off they call me tell me they will cover the cost of a used lower intake .. ok i start to get worried (that gut feeling) takes 2 days to get it then they call me. we hit a bump in the road can you come here so we can SHOW you ... son of a ____" i think so ends up who ever worked on the car with the last (original) owner "j welded" a bolt into the drivers side head !! so they snapped that one also they say they well cover a new head also .. wow cool cuz at this point im already paying 680 bucks and i didnt even have all of that with me so i finaly get the car back oct 30th and let me tell you not to happy
from pep boys to hotel running very ruff
reason they didnt connect one of the plug wires to the plug
(and they replace only one side of the plug wires and im not missing my wire holders so they are everywhere)
load car up and start home
check engine light keeps coming on and going off like on for 1 min off for 2-5 min on for 1 min ... and so on find the nearest place (Autozone) they come out i tell them what happened we are looking around under the hood (start playing wth wires here 2 snap down at distributor ... also find a half TUBE of RV sealant under the hood )
ok lets try to make it the 100 miles to the next pep boys
car is running fine now
get to parents house and looking (now that i have time to really look) and wow that brace under the hood lose bolts one isnt even in
the wires that are new are gray orginal ones on pass side are black (OCD kicked in) wires hose and such looked like the just shoved them into where ever lot ran nice like they were the new wires that have no holders are touching metal
and to really make me thing i swear i have to turn my stereo up to half or 3/4 to really hear it
im think im gana be calling pep boys corp and saying id like the car to go back in and checked over since so many things were found wrong and the lose brace bolts have to be tight
am i nuts for this
what would your do ????

I'd make sure I kept with it until it was fixed properly. They're supposed to repair it, not ruin it. Not your fault (and shouldn't be your financial responsibility) to get it fixed.

after a week of talking with corp. and the store im taking it to its going back in to get buttoned up !!!!!!!
at first they said no i have to take it back to the shop i had the work done

Ridiculous some people shouldn't even be allowed to touch cars let alone work on them. Amazing that they only replaced half the wires. how do you even do that? The people they have working for obviously know absolutely nothing. Hope everything gets worked out!

after some time with talking with pepboys corp they refunded full amount of the repair
they gave me a set of plugs GRRR they are after market but wile putting those out i found spark plugs (S) only finger tight ohh and they used hardwear store bolts to put the lower intake on ....
