My dad's got a 2001 V6 coupe with the base alloy wheels. He's looking at upgrading to the 17" Torq-D rims from the 2001 Bullit model. But before that goes down he'd like to know what size tire the 17" take and if they're compatible with the hub/brake package on the V6. Anyone know ?

They'll fit just fine. A 245/45/17 would be the recommended size if you go with a 17x8 rim, or you could run 275/40/17s on a 17x9.

Also a 255/45R17 is another good choice, they look better than the 245/45R17s in the wheelwell
