Interior illumination problem

Hey there I just bought my first mustang it’s a 2001 mustang gt 4.6. I was just wondering if there was supposed to be interior illumination? I’m sure there is but I have nothing but my dash. My dash lights work and everything but I have no lights behind my climate control or in the shifter so I can see the prnd at night and the power window switches don’t light up neither. Just wondering what the issue might be, thanks!

Yep, all those should have illumination. Probably burnt out bulbs that need replacing, unless someone's been mucking about with the wiring. Or there's a fuse for that particular 'run' of lights on the console. Check your manual for that. I'm not sure about the '01, but I think maybe the window/lock switches might also have lamps in them.
