Fuel Injectors?
 

So, my '99 Stang has about 121K miles on it and it just doesn't have the "pick-up" it used to. What I'm trying to determine is if there are any cost effective things I can do to improve this and also trying to trouble shoot potential impacts. My first thought was that I was losing power through the suspension, because it is getting loose as it gets old, so I was thinking about putting some new control arms on or some subframe connectors. However, that's probably not the entire problem, but only one of the issues that might be impacting the issue. One of my friends mentioned getting the fuel injectors cleaned, but I'm not real familiar with having that done, so wanted to get some thoughts from everybody. Any insights?

I dont know if they can truely be cleaned (like taken apart and cleaned).. you can run fuel cleaners through your fuel system, but some of those are null and void when it comes to acctually working. Lucas makes a fuel cleaner that works decently well (i know thier diseil version does). Give something like that a try.

Also might want to check your spark plugs and also filters (fuel specifically).

Thanks Scothew. I'll have the spark plugs looked at and the filters. Might as well give the cleaner you mentioned a try as well....can't hurt.
