Clear coat/ paint issues??

Wondering if Anyone else has had his issue? A few years agowhen my 01 still had its spoiler i got to noticing the clear coat was peeling off the spoiler in spots. Little spots at first then they grey. Not a spoiler guy so it was the perfect excuse to lose the spoiler. Now the other day I get to noticing the trunk lid is growing clusters of little bumps in spots the biggest cluster is about half dollar size. Wtf is going on. Is this an issue with the fiberglass or whatever it is the spoiler and lid are made of ? Is it a paint issue?? I know the cars paint has never had any kind of cleaning chemical or such put on it cause the car has been in our family since 01. Kinda hoping this is something that isn't going to spread to any other parts of the car that aren't metal like the sail panels and A pillar trim. I'm swapping on a spoiler delete lid but I can't keep swapping parts cause the car has cancer.

It's a paint issue. 99-04 fords weren't known for their paint jobs. My paint(down to the metal) is flaking off my hood. I am constantly filling in chips with touch up paint. I'm afraid the only way we can fix it is to get new paint jobs.

+1 my 03 cobra's Hood and front bumper cover are covered with chips with less than 20k on it. On the other hand my 97 gt with 120k on it has a fraction on the paint imperfections that my 03 has.

Same for me. My paint is chipping and fading.
I tell my friends that the chips are aftermarket and equal weight reduction lol

But my car is either gun a get resprayed the same, or either white or black.
