I'm putting a Pioneer deck that I have in my '98. I don't have the MACH system, but have the separate CD player in the lower slot.

My question is, in cars that don't have the CD, what's in that slot?

Thanks!

It's just a casing for storage. I might not be describing it too well.

Yeah it's something like that. I found a link on ebay while searching for a stereo.

The last link is it specifically. In my old Mustang, I replaced the Mach Stereo/CD combo with a single DIN unit. I bought the sleeve from Ford for like $13 or something. When I traded the car two years ago, I just popped it back out.

In fact, it's been sitting on my desk since then at home!

I'd think it would make a good pen holder

Thanks for the offer. This is giving me a reason to go to the Northwest Mustang Ranch. I love walking through the yard of old 'stangs and dreaming about taking one home to restore.

If anyone wants it, just need to send me a PM is all. At this point shipping gets it. Fairly useless to me.
