See this thread, and read it too the end, you'll have to do something with the existing tint on the gauges.

The tint is blue, so white or blue lights should work as long as you are using LED's. I used white lights and they turned out very blue.

It appears that I was wrong.
Seeing that you have an 04 you might have to do something about the film! Sorry I piped up with wrong info.
