97 Ford Mustang GT. Vert. Brake light prob.

Hey guys I'm new here not sure if I'm even doing this right but, I need some help or at least a direction to go. Ok on the 97 it has the 3 separated brake and tail lights on the back, 3 on each side, my 2 inner lights are not working the far inner on each side when you hit the brakes, but the outer 2 on both sides are. I figured maybe might be the brake light switch so I ordered one from LMR but I haven't installed it yet but I was thinking,.. looks like the other lights wouldn't work either, and it's not the bulbs I checked them all everything's is good except the far inside brake lights on both sides. Has anyone had this issue or might know what I could check? And something else I think is weird if I hit my brake pedal and hold it for an amount of time like at a red light there's this weird chatter that comes from under the dash and I finally found that noise was from the relay for the turn signals and emergency. I wonder if that relay would have something to do with the brake light issue? I know all the lights worked before and I don't remember that relay sound but I know the brake lights worked after that relay noise started.

Probably a relay that opens up under a load...then closes rapidly as you described. Change the relay first. Then the switch. These relays just wear out, the small armature of the relay and all the constant sparking cause heavy carbon deposits not allowing a good current flow.
