This may be a Stupid question,
The 2003 Ford Cenntenial Editons Mustangs. You know the ones that are all black with chrome accents.
Are they worth any more on trade-in or they just a special edition?
The NADA or Edmunds does not have a column that describes or list them (prices)
I found out the hard way with one of the Explorers, the dealer treated it as a Limited, even though it cost several thousand more than a limited stickered for.
Thanks,
TDS

My guess would be.....no they aren't worth more on a trade-in. However the dealer will definately sell it more when they put it on the lot.
Too me it's not worth it for more money....just like the 99 35th Annys. Some people will value them a little more, but there's no increase in power.....so it doesn't make a difference to me.

I must disagree. The 1999 "Limited Edition" GT(no v-6 was an L.E.) was quite a special "Limited Edition" and because of its popularity did Ford continue to create more "special editions" like the 2000 "Spring Feature"/Bullitt/Mach1. Without the 99 GT "LE", there would have been no others. Even though the 1999 "LE" did not have any additional horsepower, does not discount it as unique. I have had mine since new and people would still think it was brand new up until 2004. Furthermore, the Centennial Mustang had very little to differentiate it from a standard black GT.
btw, NADA has a section just for the 35th "Limited Edition" GT.

That was kinda my point, was that "some" would value them more(Bullitt and 35th Anny owners). However if you're just shopping for a GT its probably not worth the difference.
My main reasoning is....once a true collectors item is modded it will probably lose value. If you want a cruiser...then go for it, but if your gonna mod/race it then think twice.

true...but the 35ths actually have a lot of special stuff. not only the hood stripe/honeycomb panel but the additional scoops (which other 99s and 00s dont have) along with the upgraded mach 460 and other stuff like the silver inserts on the seats (which everyone who has been in my car LOVES).
i had been in the market for a regular gt but when i saw the 35th LE i ended up getting...i knew it was the one. like jason said...people still cant believe its a 6 or 7 year old car.

The web site might, but the NADA application that we use (credit union) does not, and it is up-to-date as of 2-1-2006. In other words, a bank/lending institution doesn't care if it's a LE or not. The value is the same for a standard 1999 GT.

Thanks for thr feed back, I understand about the 35th L.E.'s, it's a 2003 cenntineal edition.
All black 5 spd with chrome wheels and badges. Embrodry in the seats, tag bracket chrome , and a
leather owners manual with Fords signutures. From henry to william, 4 total.
Can get the car from original pruchaser, thought that their asking price was "high". No mention of this package in N.A.D.A. or Emunds or the "little black book.
Guess I'll make an offer and go from there.
