2002 GT whining noise
One of the guys that works for me has an 02 gt, he just had the heads resurfaced and gaskets replaced from a blown head gasket.
Last night his check engine light came on (he's going to get the code read probably today) but this morning he had a whining noise from the engine. To me it sounds like the noise is coming from the pulleys on the passenger side. Its a manual and the noise doesn't go away when the clutch is put in, it just goes away after a certain rpm.
If you've got any ideas hit me up so I can pass it on to him, thanks!

I got a same problem on my F-150, it's the well known issue with 4.6L engines.
I was told on F-150 forums it's the alternator.
In my case whining noise comes only when weather is really cold.
