20 " wheels
Hello from a new forum user over in the UK
I am seriously tempted to fit 20" rims on my car but would like to see pictures of a similar car to mine with this size of wheel. I am hoping to eliminate the big gap between tyre and fender. I am hoping a slightly larger overall diameter will lift the car by approx 1", then I can safely lower the suspension without catching my exhausts on our speed humps which are everywhere in suburban Britain Any pics would be appreciated thanks Paul |
I think the largest you can go is 19 but I'm not sure about that so dont quote me. Yeah I know how you feel about those sleeping policeman. Totally destroyed front spoiler I custom built for my friends 309 GTI. Thought I had left enough clearence but suspension travel wasnt taken into account. Glad I left those speed bumps behind.
HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING THE SPEED CAMERAS!!!! AMERICA HAS NOT FIGURED IT OUT YET BUT I'M GONNA BE IN TROUBLE WHEN IT DOES!!! |
Run the 18" 's save you arse from the jaring and jumble. The wheel base is just a bit short for 20" rims. If you bottom out it will bang the heck out your rear suspension. It will handle great with 20's but everyday tumbling gets old after a while.I had to reply..I used to live in Bedford.Pat
