04 Mustang won’t start.

I have an 04 Mustang Convertible, 3.9L, Manual, V6 that I bought 2 weeks ago. About a week ago, I started it up and ran it around a little. When I got back I saw a lot of corrosion on the battery terminals so I tried to clean them off. After that, I tried to start it again and all that happened was some clicking underneath the car. I thought it may be the starter but my dad said not to mess with it till he looked at it.

When my dad got home, he went out and cleaned all the battery terminals and cables really good with a dremel and put them back on. After that it started right up. I drove it for a couple days but when I tried to start it Monday morning, it made the same clicking noise as before. All the gauges were working when I tried to start it on Monday and the “Theft” light was flashing. When I tried to start it today, nothing was working. No “Theft” light flashing, no lights, no gauges were working.

Anyone know anything that could fix this? Any help is most definitely appreciated!!

Simple stuff, get the battery checked first. Take it to the parts store, they can run it to see if it's bad. I wouldn't guess starter, in my experience, when they go, they go. Otherwise they just start being slower and slower to start the car. If it's not battery, it could be the alternator, they start functioning improperly and the whole electrical system can go haywire.

you can drive up to autozone and they can check it for free
