Those Annoying Chimes And Buzzers

I know this topic has come up before but my searches have not been too productive.

The #1 irritant to me is the darned chime when the key is in the ignition and the door is open. Is there a way to silence that little monster?

#2 on my list is the ridiculous horn "chirp" when locking or unlocking. What to do?

For the chime, without tearing apart things, you can always just trip your latch if you want to leave the door open. Simple way to do it, and it doesn't require ripping apart wiring or the dash to find the chime unit. There is no quick way that I remember to do it otherwise. There might be a key procedure, but I've never seen one for the door chime.

My car doesnt chirp when locking it.
I believe there is a car code to change that because my mom's got her car changed. It use to chirp when locking and unlocking. But my brother (master mechanic) changed it.
Id look into car codes or something.

Mine only chirps if you hit the arm button twice.

Not a problem. I hope this does it for you. I try to help where I can. Good luck.

Alrighty, the You Tube video akdoggie linked to allowed me to silence the chimes from Hell.

Peace reigns in the cabin at last. Thanks.
