My wife has complained that there is no suicide handle ( we call it something else), the handle that the passenger can hold onto for stability/dear life
Is this just the verts or are the coupes lacking this also?

There is a handle available in the middle of the driver's seat for her to hold onto. Very effective at communicating her relative comfort with your speed and control of the vehicle.
Be advised: Use of this handle may diminish your control level.

I'll explain the Grip handle to my wife, see if it helps. Mine hasn't complained about the ride exept I won't let her drive the car. I've had it since June and she really wants to drive it. Just can't seem to let her take it. I know how she drives and she will drive it into a wall.
She had her new Trailblazer for 1 week and backed into a wall. Her excuse was that it had vines on it and didn't relize the wall was under it. It was fun explaining how vines just grow 4 feet into the air without any support....
