Steering wheel controls removal?

How can i remove the controls/ buttons on the steering wheel? im planning on changing the leds from the nasty green to a solid bright white.

You have to patiently pry them off. You may have to remove the air bag to unplug the modules.

They pry right out. Just do a YouTube search on steering wheel swap or similar. CJ has a good one up.
