The connnector shell on the harness side has knock outs that you can install wiring connectors (available at your dealer) into. I retrofitted a driver power seat in mine and it took a little bit of work but turned out fine. Once I get the funds I would like to do the pass side as well.

How about saving us the hassle of attempting to find it and post it here? (I just spent half an hour looking for it and can't find it.)

**Edit**
Just found it here.

moderator help?

I couldn't figure out how to copy and or move the whole thing, glad you found it. If the moderator of this forum knows of a way to copy it over here I have no problem with it. Feel free to use it any way you want.

I'm not engineer by any means, but aren't you guys worried about the structural integrity of those brackets under a full impact accident? Especially when you have airbags deploying? I don't know...just seems like it wouldn't be very safe.

That's exactly why I'm just going to retrofit an actual power seat. All of the other part numbers for the '07 are the same... the seat frames, cuision, etc.... it's just the seat base that's different.

Looking at the material being used-I would think there should be no problem-especially the way Fake has his box channel oriented. The material is of a thicker gauge and having the box oriented north-south should allow for more than adequate shear strength.

What if he got T-Boned? Wouldn't those brackets bend? I'm not trying to knock the mod, hell, I'd do it myself if I felt it was safe...it's just not giving me a warm fuzzy.

Hey fake68, did you make those extensions or did you purchase them pre-made from somewhere?

1/8th inch thick 2 inch square tubing...cut 4 sections 1-1/2 inches wide...drill 3/8 hole on top and bottom of each piece...bolt each square section to bottom seat frame with the nuts that used to hold the seat down...then bolt seat to square tubing with 3/8 grade 8 bolts and nuts..leave every thing loose untill all bolts and nuts are on.then tighten seat first then frame...

.

Good job fake68... I guess I gotta ask tho , how did I ruin my seat? To restore it to "normal, remove box tube , Install grade eight bolts in original holes. I thought of doing it like you did, but I thought (in a wierd way) that if there was a "sheer strenght" problem, two points of potential failure would be better than four. I had a brief conversation with a navy engineer, and he said that with thick wall tubing and grade eight bolts he thought the seat would survive all but the guys with the jaws of life. I guess if you really wanted to commit to this mod, and were really worried about it letting go in a really bad wreck.. do the mod , with either two or four tubes, and then weld the sucker. I did my mod as a permanent fix, when I trade this one in, I'm sure not gonna ask if the dealership wants the seat lowered ! LOL Bottom line Fake68 , you fixed a problem that lots of folks have complained about, and your passenger appreciates it. !

.

yep world of difference , wife is as tall as me now , dang it.. BTW if anyone finds that two inchs is too much (pun intended) try using inch and a half by inch and a half. I kinda wish I had , then the wife wouldn't be looking me in the eye.

seat now 1 and a half inches higher.

2 inches was a bit to high...so I used 1 and a half inch square tubing, with 3,16ths thick sidewalls.. did it without taking bottom seat cloth off.

Wow, that's bringing an old thread back to life! I solved my original seat problem by trading up to a 08 GT with all power and heated seats
