There's a stickey in Interior and Audio mods. Post in the thread if you have any questions and I'll answer them, as will others.

I have my 67 set up with a push start. Mine doesn't look like that though. I have it hidden where the cigarette lighter used to be. I think it is really cool. I even have a toggle switch to turn off power to the button.

I'm pretty sure Glenn knows... he just likes to ask questions that have already been asked several times.

I just don't see the sense I guess. It would be different if you didn't need the key. Heck save yourself the trouble and just turn the key

Its a gimmick, no doubt. An unnessesary toy, like a nav unit, ambient lighting, spoiler or 20 inch rims - for enjoyment only. Hell, the whole car is a toy.

Certainly if I had any other car I would not care if I had it or not. It has a lot to do with making the prominently positioned 12v power outlet hole look and function more function important and interesting as it is one of the focal points of the dash.

Is it hard for an extreme novice to take on the task? I mean to make sure all the wires are hooked up correctly?

buyfordracing.com actually has the kit for purchase. Seems simple enough.

yea the ford kit is plug and play...

any other kit and you will have to wire it in manually

i got it cause its kickass and cause that spot is the worst place ever for a power outlet

Look at that thread I posted and decide if you're up to the task. It's not 'hard' but it's not the easiest thing either since you're taking apart plastic and messing w/ some pretty important wires.

I got the Honda button from 50resto, and it comes with easy instructions to install. Took me about 15min I think to put it in.

Cheers

Why do you say it looks cheap? You do know, its the exact same part out of the Ford GT right?
