Talking New goodies!

Over the passed few weeks I put a few new things in the car. I still have a few left but I got enough down to show off a little!

First off is the Shelby 8" door subs, these things look and sound very nice. The only downside is I wish the grills showed off more of the speaker itself as they look extremely nice!

Then I moved onto the bigger thing this weekend. My new Pioneer X910BT There are plenty of write ups on here that worked out fine for my friend helping me install it. I just need to fine another din adapter as I'm not happy with how this one sits.

And finally me new Redline boots

And some finished results:

All I've got left is these to install, but that will have to be another weekend I suppose...

Thanks guys! The pod definitely looks great, I mocked it up in the car and I really can't wait to get all my wires run now. Just need to pull apart the dash....

For what they are they are very nice. They have about a 3" spacer, I liked the fact they were a direct replacement as that's all I need for now

What is the size of the smaller speaker in the door? I have some Focal polykevlar K2Ps that I would LOVE to use, but they are 6.5s. I'm thinking if they would fit in the smaller spot, I could add a woofer in the lower spot and have new component boxes made for the set.

It was more defined, I was happy with them. Your expectations may be higher though. I could definitely tell an immediate different after I installed them but the head unit made a much larger one.

I think they are 6X9's, but I'm not the one to ask. I'll throw this question towards my friend Scott who helped me install he knows quite a bit more about it than I do!

I think they're the typical ford size speakers... 6"x8". That will let you fit a 6x8 or 5x7 in that area.

BluSkyVert - Yep Richocet is correct on the speaker size. Any 5x7(6x8) will fit just fine. I know that some people will disagree but from my time working in an audio shop, I would put a 5-1/4" speaker with a 5x7 to 5-1/4" adapter plate in place of the factory speakers. This will give you cleaner sound and less distortion at higher volumes.
