Soooo, instead of a new handle it just covers the old one?
What gives, that only masks the problem, it doesnt resolve it. Hopefully someone will come out with an entirely new handle
and lever to replace the entire piece going into the console.

I would say deal with what you have, and this little add on makes it much nicer. From a comsmetic stand point it looks great, when sitting in the car you can only see the top. It blends right in now. Yea, I guess it woul be nice if the whole thing was not there. But who really cares?

I have to agree with nole_trainer, I think it's pretty innocuous. I don't see the "fit and finish" issue with mine. It's simply there, it's functional if not exactly inspiring to look at.
As far as it being "kinked" (I'm not 100% sure what that means, I presume it digs into your thigh) wouldn't a new handle in exactly the same location probably still do that, even if it addressed whatever the quality complaint is?

I like the handle cover. I had the MGW e-brake cover on my 99 GT and I like the look. I'll get the handle for my new Mustang right after the Holidays.
I agree that the stock e-brake looks kinda drab. The MGW cover should dress up the dark console area. It looks good with the MGW A/C and radio *****, too.
As for the previous post concerning replacing the whole e-brake handle, don't hold your breath, that mod would cost a large hunk of change compared to the handle cover.
