Ford Racing Push Button Start

Just saw this and was wondering if anyone has this particular one yet? Also will this work with a manual transmission? http://www.mossmustang.com/Shop/View...mpaign=Emailer

I don't have that one but I do have one that is similar. I don't see why it wouldn't work with a manual tranny. You turn the key to on, hold the clutch in and press the button.

i have a start button and it doesnt matter what tranny you have....

you just push the button instead of turning the key all the way,

and yes you can still use the key to start it up

i paid 10 for mine, haha 130 is a joke!!!

$10!? Where did you find that deal? Did that include the wiring harness and everything needed to install it too?

Yeah I got that one installed, works great and took about 30 minutes, 28 of which were taking off/putting on the console pieces.

It's an interesting mod, mostly for show though. It would be good for a show car I suppose...or just somebody who has a mod addiction and is running out of things to do!!

Sorry, it just doesn't interest me that much. More steps to start the car, not terribly interesting.

Why is a manual any different than an auto in this regard?

Heck, with the manual just let the car roll and pop the clutch. (assuming you already have it in the on position)

Nevermind-found it here http://www.ninosport.com/Push-Button...=2&category=54 and it DOES NOT include the wiring harness. Bummer though cause I liked the look of those. Does anyone know where I could get a wiring harness to work with one of these?

To those saying its not functional

Yes I know its not exactly the best mod for functionality, but it just seems like something neat and different to have in the car.

It's just as functional, if not more, than spoilers, scoops, bodykits, etc. I don't know why people get so hung up on it. It's an appearance mod that actually has a mechanical function... even if it is redundant. Go for it.

IMHO, the start button from the S2000 goes much better with our interior. The chrome ring matches the iup interior. The switch is only about $40 from Honda and you can make the wiring harnass yourself form a 3.5" floppy power harnass. You can pick them up at just about any computer store. The guy at Best buy gave me 3 from his spare parts drawer just to get rid of them.
