I'm also looking at this one:

Which ones do you guys like better? Or do you think this is a waste of cash. I'm leaning that direction, but not sure yet.

I got the ones with the pony's on the side, looks good when people are looking in your car. Seems the logos in the middle will get dirty faster.

I got the ones with the pony's on the side, but the stunk like burnt tar and rubber, could barelly stand them in the car. Several weeks later, you could still smell them, but not as bad. I gave them away to the girlfriend. They look good, and are very thick and rugged, just couldn't stand the smell. Must have got some fresh ones out of the oven or something.

I got a set of the tri-bar logo black mats for XMas and they look great and smell fine. Lots of 'em on Ebay.

I'd get the ones with the tri-bar pony logo on them. They look the best in my opinion. I don't think they are a waste of cash, they are an inexpensive way to dress-up your inetrior. I say go for it! I'm gonna get these soon also!

I personally have the mats with the tri-bar pony emblem and they are awesome! And mine don't particularly carry the nasty smell that one had spoke of before. I would definetely reccommend a pair of these baby's. :nice:

I also like the Tri Bar pony, I just wonder how dirty they will look after a few months.

+1 pony on da side...I would wonder not only how dirty the tri-bar pony would get, but if it's too much..

parrotheadGT Jan 31, 2006 02:13 PM

I have the ones with the pony on the side. The overall quality is MUCH better than the factory ones. Mine smelled a little "rubbery" the 1st day, but the smell quickly dissipated...

I got mine from G.G. Bailey. You can customize them however you want. They are very plush and top quality.

I also got the one's with the pony's on the side. They are a much better quality than the factory ones. The smell only lasted a few days BTW.

ACC makes good stuff and I had these on my '65 and '69 Mustangs - several sets over the past 15 years. Assuming you drive the car regularly, the driver's mat will wear out and the base color will fade after about 3 years. The Pony colors are very good and will last the life of the mat unless you track greasy gunk on them.

I'm tired of this type so I'm looking for something else for my 2005. maybe like these:

I got the ones that come with the 06 Pony Package from Kevin, They have a the word MUSTANG on the one side on a satin aluminum panel. I will try to post pics later if someone else does not.

I got the GG Bailey mats. The look good, but I was surprised they had a foam backing instead of rubber. They look good, though.

Too expensive for me. I just ordered these floor mats for $48.50. Sure, they're plain, but that's all I'll ever need for my V6.

Weathertech rubber floor mats are my favorite

i have a black GT with red interior, and i'm going with these

I got a set of black mats from target for $12 (I have the dark charcaol interior). These mats are thicker than stock with a better texture. The only drawback is they dont have the hole that the stock mats have. (But that was easily cured with an exacto knife and a torch)

drno Feb 14, 2006 06:29 AM

i went the old style route with black/grey cocoa mats. always look clean and wear like iron---down side is price ( around $100)

Rondosa Feb 14, 2006 06:33 AM

is there any place i can get stock looking mats for the REAR ONLY? everywhere I see them, they are always sold in sets of 4.

Sweet. Take some pics when you get them in the car. I will also be replacing my ICAP mats with a black mat and some sort of red trim piece. Haven't decided yet though.
