Factory nav unit

Hello guys and girls, I am looking for a nav unit for my 05 and stumbled across this unit from a company called TrustiGo and was wondering if any of you have heard anything good or bad about them? The unit looks awesome from the pictures he has posted. I Googled them but they have no website. Looks like just an Ebay seller. I typed in mustang navigation on Ebay. Also found a post on Ford Truck Enthusiasts and the guy seems happy with the unit. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks David

Thos do look great, and match the factory styping close enough to nearly look OEM. For your pre-'08 model the factory NAV would have some issues, anyway, since the cars were not equipped to provide vehicle speed sensor info to the NAV unit and that results in an error message. The price is good for these, too. If I didn;t already have an OEM NAV, this is what I would be looking at, I think. Any info on how the maps are updated?

I have the OEM Nav unit, but I want Bluetooth. This looks perfect (even more so than the option we were all discussing a few weeks ago).

But I'm wondering the same as Beargap. Would it use the Ford Nav disc to update?

/I probably should be asking the Ebay sellter this. Will do so when I get home.

Wow ... if that thing works as good as it looks it's a no brainer upgrade.

It even plugs right into the factory harness.

I sent him an email about a few questions I had which one was about the nav updates and the ability to work with the shaker. He responded that it is a plug and play with both shakers, but he did not answer about the nav. I will shoot him another email today.

The company that made that (in China I'm Sure) ... needs to come out with a 2010+ solution!

Just got a reply from Eric at TrustIGo, pretty vague. Maybe someone else can shoot him an email. trustigostore@gmail.com

Hello David,
The unit is in stock and we can ship out anytime. It comes with latest version of maps of US/CANADA/MEXICO.
You can come back to us or download from internet for updates.
thanks
Eric

Well looks like I'm going to pull the trigger on this unit. I will keep you up to date on stuff like turn around time on shipping and the overall product. I will take pictures along the way on install too.

Just got done an email back and forth with the guy (they're very quick to respond)
What I initially sent:
Hi!
I saw your listing on ebay and I'm very interested. Only a few questions however.

1) How do the maps update? Can it use the Ford OEM Navigation disc?
2) Do you have any photos of it already installed in an S197 mustang (2005-09 model)?
3) This will work with the aux port in the car already, yes? (the aux line on the mustang is not located on the head unit)

Thanks!
This was the response
It comes with latest version of navigation maps of US/CANADA/MEXICO.
I'm enclosing some photos taken on mustang for your reference.
It has RCA aux input. You just need to get a 3.5 mm jack to RCA convert cable if your external device has 3.5mm jack. Something like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/3-5mm-1-8-stereo...ht_1955wt_1398

thanks
And he included two photos (both of which I attached)

However, I noticed he didn't answer Question1 (Much like before) so I sent the following:
Hi Eric,
Thanks for the fast response and the photos!

However you didn't really answer question 1. How do the maps update for future use? Can I use the OEM Ford Navigation discs that will come out in the future to update or are you the only way it can update? And if it is you, what is the regularity of updates?

Thanks!
To which, 3 minutes later, I got this:
Hello Randy,
1, there are updates available on internet for download
2, this unit supports many maps in the market except of Garmin. you can get your own maps to run on this unit

thanks
Eric
Gauging from his lack of willingness to say whether it does or doesn't use the Ford Discs, I'm guessing he doesn't know or it just flat out won't.

Gotta say, I'm pretty tempted. Just gotta see if I have the funds and if this is more important than the other mods I was going to make

Just an update for anyone interested, I received an email from Eric after payment saying they would load the latest maps and check out the unit before shipping on Monday. He also said he would send me tracking info once shipped. As of today I have heard nothing from them. I hope this is not a sign....I'm sure i'm just getting nervous and worrying.

5 day delay is definitely something to worry about. Have you tried contacting them again? He was REALLY quick to respond to emails before...
