I'm still trying to find out if it's leather or vinyl?

jim010 Sep 12, 2007 01:57 PM

Vinyl

Chris, just to clarify...are you offering these in leather or vinyl (or both)? Is there a way you could post some high quality pics to the forum? (you were able to post your original pics)

Great job! :nice:
When you addressed Chris, I assumed the question was for him.

Cheers

Red Stitched Ebrake boot!

12 Attachment(s)
Well I just installed the emergency brake boot with red stitching as the title states. All in all it is a very nice look! I used a dremel with a cut off wheel to cut grind off all the little posts etc from the bracketry. Heres a couple pics to wet the whistle. LOL. Later all.

What are you guys having to cut off to install this? What is it attached to? Specifically I want to know what part needs to be cut so I can buy a replacement in case I want to revert back to stock..

jim010 Oct 6, 2007 08:52 PM

The part being modified is the inside of the black centre console itself. The plastic tabs that keep the rubber in place are removed.

Cheers

USMC0341 Oct 27, 2007 07:04 AM

Looks Great! Where do I sign up to buy one?

Boltzman Oct 27, 2007 05:23 PM

I wanted one but found out they are vinyl:banghead:

HAMRS_gt Oct 27, 2007 05:27 PM

they are vinyl, but so are most of the seats, it covers the scratches on the brake handle, and it looks better than the rubber

HAMRS_gt Oct 28, 2007 08:56 AM

I see, but also read the fomoco add for the mustang seats, it says leather, anyway it serves a purpose for me, and looks better to, but hey to each their own, you either like it or you dont,

alrighty then..Not worth arguing. He sells it for the same cost as Redline leather one plus shipping. If javier makes it in leather for the same price,I'm all over it.

HAMRS_gt Oct 28, 2007 01:23 PM

no argument, dont take it the wrong way:nice:

Couper93 Oct 29, 2007 09:10 AM

So how do you order?
Vinyl, leather, suede, plastic.....doesn't bother me....

jim010 Oct 29, 2007 12:53 PM

Leather is expensive, and a special machine is needed to sew, so it is not an option at this time for me. As for the thread title, that was not meant to be decietful. I started this thread to show what I did for myself, not as a commercial - just turned out that way.

As for those who are asking about getting a boot, PM sent.

Cheers
