I'd buy it. Some of the redlines do look a little baggy. You should consider selling them for a little side cash.

I agree! Or start a paypal account, and sell the pattern (as a .pdf) for $25 or so :)

Wow.

The response to this is more than I thought. Ok, when I get back, I'll make a bunch. They'll be in black vinyl, but I'll see how much leather is.

Cheers

Looks nice, I may be interested in one of these if you can do it matching red vinyl for the Interior Color Accent Package. I know you can get some, I have already looked into buying it for a sub box enclosure etc. Anyway if red may be a possibillity send me a pm, thanks

Chuck, here are the pics. The angle of the sun and the shadows play havoc with color match. The shadowed areas in first pic show the best color presentation.

The brake boot has an elasticized collar at the top so it slips about 3/8" as the brake handle moves up and down. The stock charcoal paint started to peel off the shifter bezel so I painted it to match the door switch plates.

Hopes this helps.

Yours looks really great! I always wanted one, but the redline ones always looked too baggy for my tastes.

If you make them, let me know how much! If the vinyl is good quality, I wouldn't mind that - afterall the backs of the seats, and the entire rear seats are vinyl.

Yes please let me know if you could do them in the factory red vinyl. I would definitely be interested. Thanks

OK, I now have a pattern that works well. Attaching the boot will require removing the metal part that has the ruber and cutting of the plastic tabs. Just to be sure this is worth my time, do you all think this is worth my time to do? I can make them with red stitching or red vinyl at this point. Interested?

If I do make a bunch, I'll put them on ebay, I think, for ease.

Let me know - go for it, or to much trouble.

Cheers

How difficult is it to remove metal part?? I want to do this mod but if it requires hours, that will deter me from doing it:doh:

Oh no, don't let me lead anyone to believe that it takes hours to do! You remove the centre console held on by 2 screws. Carefully pull off the metal piece with the rubber. Clean up the plastic tabs that attached the metal piece with a wood carving knife or something sharp. Apply the velcro strips. Put on boot. Put centre console back on. Done. Maybe 30 minutes if you really take your time?

Cheers

Chris, just to clarify...are you offering these in leather or vinyl (or both)? Is there a way you could post some high quality pics to the forum? (you were able to post your original pics)

Great job! :nice:
