Here's another approach to tidying up the ugly parking brake handle by installing a boot.

The pictures show my DIY installation of a 2005 Ford Escape parking brake boot in my 2005 GT Mustang coupe. My wife drives an Escape and after looking at her brake boot for the longest time, I ordered one from our TMS supplier, <span style="color:#3333FF">05stangKC</span>. The leather is a perfect match to my Dark Charcoal interior and looks like it came that way from the factory. It took about 3-4 hours to construct the finished product. The best part is that the Escape boot only costs $18.00!

The process is not difficult and I do have a step by step set of instructions. The instructions are too detailed to present here so PM me if you'd like a copy of how to do this change.

Good Job!! I went with Redline Goods just because it covered up the rubber thingy. It was a pain to do though. Yours looks great!

Does the brake pull up any further? One of the things that bugs me with the Redline one, is when I take it in for service, the tech's pull it up streching the boot out of the "mount".

I also have to give a thumbs up to redline....I also installed the shifter boot, e-brake, and armrest cover. Although the e-brake cover was a bit of a pain to install, it makes a huge difference, and fryguy is right, the quality of all three pieces is excellent! My brake handle only goes up maybe another click further than what you see in the pic. Even if the handle moved further, the upper end of the boot is elastic and it will simply slide down the handle a bit.
