I think the problem that is keeping me undecided is that my dad has it in his Mitsubishi, and it came that way from the factory.

Looks slick, would be way easy to manufactuer too. The LCD clocks are thin and cheap, theres nothing to them other than the battery and chip.

A company could very easily and cheaply make a sticky back chrome (plastic) ring and a cheap lcd clock that would snap in and out for battery changes and still look every bit as nice.

Pretty nice concept should see if you can get any after market companies to create your idea.

B) Cool idea... the 500 has an indash analog clock as part of the uplevel trim pack, would be a nice feature only offered/standard on the premium package Mustangs

No doubt burningman's PS skills are unquestionable great, but I do not like this idea. (By the way, you should get an aftermarket place to do some kits for your centerfire concepts).

If you've seen the G35 in person, which is an interior intending to be more "refined", it has a clock somewhat like this but oval.

It seems not to flow with the rest of the dashboard, as is the case here.

But for those who like it - who says cutting is needed? Just have it put on with doublesided tape.

That looks sweet!

And there would really be no need to mess up the IUP by cutting into it, just stick it on with some 3M tape.

edit: black face by the way.

edit take 2: posted about 3M tape w/o going to 3rd page

The white is nice. Think you could work in a mycolor feature so the clock matches your dash choices? It sounds like about 80% of the Mustang owners would want that....

I like that too....just a tad bit smaller diameter and would be really nice if you could find one where the clock face is actually recessed a bit.....that white face with the blue light - matches where I have the "my color" set now

Stick on would be the way to go but then how would you power it? A battery would be great for clock power but what about lighting? You want it to light up the same as the rest of the dash at night so you would also need to work that into the other dash lights somehow. I hope someone goes after this, I really like the look.

I like it, it's very classy. Reminds me of Infinity's, where they all have the tradtional clock mounted, and not digital.

Woodcraft Co. sells a variety of small round clocks that may work. The clocks are 2 3/4" in dia. (13/16th deep) with a variety of faces. Runs on 1 AAA battery. Only about $10, but they look good in their catalog. They require a 2 3/8" hole or I imagine you could stick these on the dash also.

Nice PS skills. It looks cool. But there is already a clock in the radio display.
I think I am going to use that space for a 3" TFT display for the back up camera I am installing.

After alot of seaching I ordered a clock that looks like it might work. Marlin Corp. makes a round clock with a chrome ring that is 1-3/4" in diameter. It's apx. 1/2" deep. It runs on a 3-year battery. It can be mounted in dash or with double-face tape. Black or white face clocks are available. A lighted face is also available, but a small portion of the cord will show so I'll probably go without the light. About $30 without the light plus shipping. I'd post a picture, but still waiting on my car.

I just ordered a white face from Marlin's a few days ago. Should have it next week. I'll send a few pics when I get it. I used another clock I had that was the same size to do a test fit and it looked about right to me. Here is the site:
