Bruce Roosa(KoolKnobs) Shift Knob
 

Absolutely love the new look.

The diameter of the new knob is larger than the Hurst one by 1/4", which makes a huge difference.

Anyhow, I wasn't really posting to show this off, but someone asked me how I was retaining the boot with the new knob, so... here's photos.

There's an O-ring with a groove around the outer diameter which catches the shift knob. The ID of the O-ring is tight to the shift arm, it was basically pulled up to the base of Bruce's adaptor.

BTW, my car is in first gear in that photo. :)

I can't wait to get the shifter installed so I can actually see the air conditioner control when I'm in 5th gear.

No, but I'm thinking about putting it up for sale. :) Wasn't actually part of the shifter kit...

That's really nice. Is it the same adapter that Grabberpony uses?

So what is the total diameter? I have one from grabberpony but i want one thats a little bigger.

2" diameter knob. I'm gonna see if the GF wants it, and if not, I don't have any immediate plans for another 5-speed car, so I'll prolly ax it. (have a 6 now and a 4 coming up :) )
