From what I understand, it's about three weeks between when production starts and when the cars start arriving on dealer lots. 2006 1/2 Mustang production, along with Dark IUP began on December 7, so it'll be right around the first of the year before cars equipped with Dark IUP start arriving.
Maybe some of our Ford salesmen can provide some more information or correct any mistakes I made.

Hey Guys, alot of you know I am a salesperson in PA, and have posted info regarding new items, and such. As of today, I haven't yet received ANY pics from Ford at all, in terms of what the interior trim looks like. I was hoping that they would send out a "Hot Sheet" or product info card, that we can add to our order guides. No such luck yet. Hopefully soon. To be honest, we will most likely see a forum member's car before we get any pics here at the dealership.

I'm interested to know as well...My car is ordered with the dark IUP and has a delivery date for week of 12/25. If I'm one of the first to receive, I'll post pixs.
No photos on the ford dealer portal or on fordvehicles.com yet, just the same pix of the Shelby dash that everyone has seen.
Is there a factory "insider" on this forum that could provide some insight to the A/C registers-- are they black on the vents and a chrome or a satin surround???
Inquiring minds want to know...

Doing a little research as I am impatiantly watiting for my 06 Vist Blue stang. First a shout out to Brad as this is the BEST mustang site on the web bar none!. As my car has been on order for the past 5 months I have looked into many of the threads on this site. I just got the break downfrom my local Ford dealer on changing the Silver IUP dash to the black. It looks like for about $360.00 you can change from silver to black.
I am waiting to get a call back from from my dealer to see if I can change my order from silver to the new black. But just in case I am happy to see I will not need to paint my new dash.
Ill keep you posted

It should not cost any different than the regular iup
just different color. If they are going to add an additional 360 over the already iup charge, you are getting ripped. same option, different color. good luck
