Airbag Light Is On After Seat Swap

I just replaced my stock seats with a pair of Corbeau CR-1s. It was a simple swap but now the airbag warning light is on.
Any ideas how to kill it?

My car is an '06 GT Premium with the power driver seat but no seat mounted airbags.

Does your car have a ocupeint sensor for the air bag that was in the passenger seat.
If it did that will cause the light to go on!

There were electrical connectors at each seat which I assume connected the power seat for the driver and the occupant sensor for the passenger seat. There must be a way to bypass or fool the sensor.

The airbag light is nothing more than a minor irritation so I'll just ignore it unless there is a simple solution to douse it.

If you can find out the resistance that is needed to trick the computer into thinking it is hooked up you could build a resistance diod to plug in!

You need to transfer the "Bladder" from the passenger OEM seat to the Corbeau seat. I have the same car/same seats. No issues when you do the transfer.

Thanks for the tips you guys. I think I'll pursue the resistor idea. I found some info on a Subaru site about it. Swapping the bladder sounds like more work than I want to deal with.

Is there a DIY for swapping the bladder?

The OEM seat is easy, you peel the bottom of the seat backward, remove the bladder and disconnect the electrical connection. The Corbeau was a different story, i didn't want to mess with it so i took it to a shop they did it in 30 min.

A piece of black tape over the warning light works very well.

dly, you're clearly a practical individual. I'll use a black target paster......more elegant than tape.:):)

UPDATE!

Get Some Airbag Resistors if Your New Seats Do Not Use Side Airbags!
