Thanks to Bob K from Michigan for the Sneek Peek at the Ambient Console! He won this at a Car Show over the Weekend! These have not yet released yet from Ford So I have not been Able to Check Retrofitability! Bob Has the First! The Lower Console also Has Led's he was told by the Ford Reps. They Commented it should be an Easy Install but by the Look of that control box on the Bottom I am Not So Sure. I am wanting to put one of these in my 500 and will investigate as parts become available!

Pretty neat if it plugs into the existing harness. So what is the button for .. to change the color?

If it plugs in to the original wiring, it should be a simple swap. I guess we will see when parts become available. I'll be following this closely, I want that for my car.

I have all the Parts on the way I believe will be Needed to Retrofit the Ambient Lighting Package. So Far it Appears it will be an Easy Install. At this Point it looks like about a $400.00 Investment. I will update after I get the Pieces and do some testing.

Cool ... I don't see where the LED's are from the driver and passenger foot area ... are these not included with the center console?

There Are Two LED's Under the Dash at the Outer Edge and Two at the Rear Sides of the Lower Console. I should Have the Parts Today. And Will Post a Pic if time Allows.

KC, does this estimate include the centre console base that houses the rear seats LEDs and the front footwell LEDs and brackets?

Cheers

At this Time it Does But this Is Only if the Upper Console Comes Complete as Bob's Giveaway top is Shown. I thing I just Found another Harness That may be Required Also. I can't tell until Ford Gets Me the Correct parts. When Stuff is this New it is a lot of trial and Error.

Hi KC could you give me the part number for the led light under each side of the dash only. As far as the brackets go there are none as Ford has issued a new dash panel for 08 . The new dash panel has a tab on the under side lip with a hole in it for the lens to pop in. Does the lens have a seperate part # from the led because the lens outline is colour keyed to each trim colour.Thanks.

There are a Lot of Hidden Pieces you really have to Dig For. You Will have to Fab a Bracket for the Dash Lights. I am Working on the Lamp Assy. No Part Number Yet. It is Seperate from the LEd itself. Hang tight as I want to present a Couple of Alternatives to the Quote Factory Lamp Layout which may work as well and be more cost effective. Also Since Ford has a Packaging Issue I would Not reccomend anybody just start ordering parts till I get that cleared up.

Recieved Confirmation From Ford this Morning, Upper and Lower Consoles Are Mispackaged. It may be awhile Before they Get this Fixed.

Stand By!
