I was thinking of getting BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 tires-
Front: 255/45YR18 Rear: 285/40YR18 Do you think it will look odd to get 45's in the front, and 40's in the back? I have 245/45/17's front and rear on my 2000 vert V6 now. Oh, wheels will be most likely 18" Bozeforged wheels or black bullits. Opinions on looks and performance much appreciated! |

Edit: Forgot to add the calculations... 255 mm * 0.45 = 114.75 mm 285 mm * 0.40 = 114 mm |
hmmm..ok. I think I will just have 45 sidewalls front and back then. I have found the smaller the sidewalls, the more $$$ the tire.
|
.75mm is a tiny difference. Those sidewalls are the same height. 40 and 45 refer to the % of the width.
Example: 245/45/x has the same sidewall height as a 275/40/x or 315/35/x, about 110mm |
There is a big upside to have them all the same size. you can rotate them
|
The 05 doesn't need wider tires in the rear to look good, like the old model did.
|
I saw a pic of a 05 GT with wider tires in the back...I think it looks really mean. Especially with deep dish bullets.....ugh.....sick.

I got 195-70-R13's on my Mustang II Mach1
