Hey All! How's everyone doing? Stumbled across this forum and thought it was pretty kewl and also saw a few posts on stripes, wheels, and exterior mods. I thought I'd post some pics of my 2005 Torch Red Stang (V6 umhummm clears throat). SORRY ABOUT THE LARGE PHOTOS!

So far I have Stripes (Rally), Hood Scoop, New 20's Zinik Z7 Chrome (Tire Rack), Painted Calipers, C-Pillar Scoops, GT Fog Light Grill (This was a beeattch to install!). I'll post more pics later on of wheels and scoops mods! Go ahead, give it to me good or bad!

I really want to get the pics with the 20's mounted. I see alot of different opinions out here regarding wheel size and I'm REALLY happy I went with the 20's! My ride didn't change drastically, BUT I'm running 255/35/20 Continental ContiExtreme Contact All-Seasons. Reaaalllyy quiet, no pull in ruts, nice smooth ride, no shimmy or shake.

p.s. - Thank you for the comps...

Nice pics Matt and welcome!!! I personally would have gone all they way with the stripes. But the white on red looks real clean. GREAT job with the grill conversion. Now get some duals and a lot of people won't know it's a V6.

VERY NICE..................do you have pics with the c scoops intalled......I have been wondering what those look like.

By the way...I LOVE the black out in the back...is that the plastic insert one? Does that scratch up when you wash it...I was debating between the plastic one, or vinyl...............and you stripes are HOT!!!

welcome!!

Thanks 05GTBABY I'm glad to be here, a LOT of information I can use out here!

Actually, I just finished up the stripe kit last night out back so it now runs all the way down the bumper. Up front it stopped at the top of the bumper but I have some extra vinyl so I may tackle that later on this weekend.

Eeks, isn't it bad Karma to pose? Don't know if I want to do that, what do you think? I really didn't do the grill to have it look like a GT I just like the look of fogs and didn't really want to go with aftermarkets. IMO it isn't clean looking, like it belongs on the car like the real thing you know what I mean?

Anyway, I deal in Mustang parts & stuff (Not going to advertise!) on the internet and I plan on utilizing this vehicle for shows and such for marketing purposes. I like getting a V6 and dressing it up, making it fast! It's a LOT of fun and you learn alot about your car when doing it yourself...anyway won't ramble on anymore.

PONYGIRL - I'm going to get some more pics up tonight...that's if it isn't SNOWING!!! I'm in Denver, Colorado so you never know out here. Anyway, that black out panel is actually a Plastic piece that attaches with 3M tape, I'm glad I went that way, looks pretty clean, easy installation. By the way, that Blackout is manufactured by Xenon if I'm not mistaken

The stripes look great.
Can't wait to see the pics with it going all the way down the back... especially with the black-out panel.
BTW, how wide are the stripes and what is the gap?

Trying to get the darn thing mounted up! GT Grill is about 1" wider. I fought with that a-hole for about 1 hour and then I gave up and used my mexican enginuity (gulp) and got it to slip in (no sexual inuendo intended :=) - spelling?)...don't know if I should tell y'all what I did but what I did worked...HA! uhhummm (clears throat)

Eegads...I have access to the complete kits. The harness came with my kit. It took me 10 minutes to get it into the "cockpit" (No sexual inuendo intended :=) and I placed the switch button right next to the headlamp switch. Had to drill a hole but it is a clean install.

Now for the grill...you ready?...to get the **** in there I had to start at the middle bottom of the grill with a BLACK self-tapping screw, pushed the bottom of the grill back and pushed down while doing this and took the self tapping screw in one of the honeycombs, that held it in place, and can't even see the screw. Next, I started at the passenger side, lower part of grill and did the same in the lower corner, then up to the upper corner with screw.

The drivers side was a piece of cake. Mounted right up and clipped right in. I did have to clip the bottom retainers off the bottom of the grill as they keep the grill from being pushed back so it sits flush and there is NO gap. hope this helps.

WOW!

That really looks nice. The stripes hit you like a ton of bricks. Great mod.
