Because I am sure a divorce would be in my future if I had the body shop put hood pins on my 05, I want to know if there is another way to make me distinct. Yes, I do want hood pins, but no, I have been forbidden from getting them installed.

I heard about two stripe kits you can order- one has ponies like they have now. The other is a stripe along the bottom of the doors that says MUSTANG. Anyone know anything or have pictures?

Since I am keeping this car for 5 years and then making my daughter drive it(or walk) I want to make it more "look at me" than "oh look another mustang". Suggestions?

I don't want to freak it up though(read look like a rice burner) . I am open for suggestions.

That Pony decal only came on pre-2004 Pony V-6s.

Here is the "MUSTANG" stripe for '05:

Sweet! But I don't like the tire spinners.

Get a Sonic Blue GT and Roush's stripe kit. Their current kit is only $125, so I expect their '05 kit to be similarly priced.

Spinners

I know it isn't. But I want Windveil with those stripes.

Get some aftermarket chrome 18" wheels on it and new mufflers, and it will stand out. Stripe kits peel off.

Your choice, but I think a nice set of 18's would do the car more justice than stripes.

Wait to see what shelby puts out. I think the next SE will be a shelby. It may have stripes and hood pins. Not to mention a 350-400 hp engine. And IRS. And 18s......

I think the next car we'll see will be a 400+hp car which will replace the Cobra. They will probably use the Shelby Name.

It will definatley have IRS and at least 18" rims.

But it will also probably start at $35k + which is a lot of change. Too much for me anyway. My limit would have been $30k.

I think that is the next SE. Although I would look for $33-34k. A slight increase over Mach 1.

All I am going to add is that if you go with Stripes, I would go with painted from a reliable paint shop instead of stick on.

BTW, I like the spinner wheels the best.

Look at the picture in EleanorsMine's post. The "spinner" piece is attached to the rim.
