Retrofitting GT500 splitter onto 05-09 GT?
I looked at some of the aftermarket front chin spoilers, and felt the GT500's stock splitter looked more like what I wanted on my 07 GT.
I did some searching but only found a few threads with photos that were hard to discern how I had to modify the splitter.
Is there a detailed How-To thread on the retrofit? I have a 07 GT with the stock front fascia. I do not want to cut/drill into my stock body parts, but I have no issues with modifying the GT500 splitter so long as it is easy to do.
How well does the splitter stand up to speed? Does it balloon/trap air, or trap grit between the bumper fascia? Does it create any new howling/vibration or reduce fuel economy?

As far as I know, the GT500 splitter really only works with the GT/CS facia. I've never seen one on a standard GT facia.
But I could be wrong. Maybe somebody else knows more.

I had one on my GT bumper and I had no issues with it as far as driving. It will be lower and you'll scrape things if your mustang is lowered. Mine was lowered 1 1/4" and I had to be careful when parking in lots that had those cement stoppers.
