Rear diff covers
Have you upgraded yours or thought about it? What do you have or what have you seen? I don't consider this a performance mod so I figured I would start this thread here. Thanks for. Your imput .

I used to have one made by LPW that was fine. I got rid of it because it had bearing cap studs (to reinforce the bearing caps), and although I never used them, when my diff started making noise I didn't want the dealer thinking the cover had anything to do with it. One had mentioned the aftermarket cover saying that they wouldn't be able to trust that I hadn't used the studs and overtightened them, damaging the bearings. Warranty was at stake, so rather than deal with that I swapped back to stock. The cover's been sitting in my garage ever since.

I used the Ford Racing Axle Girdle in my build, part number M-4033-G2. I consider it both a cosmetic and performance mod. It provides the ability to drain or top up the diff without removal. I also replaced the OEM bearing cap bolts with a bearing cap stud kit from TA Performance. Not the best picture, but you get the idea:

Ha, I see what you did there...
Honestly I never considered reselling before. Keep in mind my car was my DD up until 4 months ago, and racked up about 3-4 years with that diff cover on. It ain't gonna be pretty like it was in the above pic when it was new.
If you want it, you're gonna want a sandblaster. I tried scrubbing it with a steel wool and degreaser for a couple minutes, and it started coming clean (see the shiny spot in the pic below) but it could take a while to get the whole thing.
Besides that, I threw away bolts that attach it to the diff case (they were junk anyway), so you would need to source those.
Because of the condition, I'd say $40 + shipping and its yours
