New grille and unique emblem installed!
6 Attachment(s)
With my stripes I could no longer resist the temptation to get a center mounted fog grille. After searching the forum I opted to go with the Street Scenes grill from Stillen. This grille is second in quality to none. It’s a perfect fit, required no modifications, and even has the texture just as the factory grille did. While I just love the look of the tri-bar pony on these grilles, I already had swapped out my GT fender emblems for tri-bars. The grille really needed something there, so I opted for a ’67 GTA fender emblem (thanks Pegasusphototx for the idea). I’m really happy with the way everything worked out, tell me what you think!

I love the look, had I not done my corral and bezels on a GT grille this would have been my choice as well. Nice job.

Looks great and it's probably the first one I've seen with a GTA emblem.

Looks good! Now you need to update your avatar......

What does the 'A' in 'GTA' stand for? Does it have any relevence to your car?
|
Nice look, Eh! I like the GT A, but up here (WI) we're so close to Canada that we get the Eh at the end of every sentence!

The badge is a replica made for a '67, when Ford was marketing their automatic transmissions. Several models in both 66 and 67 had the GTA moniker. Mine is an auto, so no posing here! Tim |

Looks awesome... glad you made the trip to DM to get this done this weekend!!

Looks great. How did you mount the GT A badge to your grille?
|
I used a pair of set of zinc coated brackets, two screws, two bolts, some double sided tape and loc-tight. Total parts came to less then $5 from the home depot. For tools, I needed a screwdriver, wrench, countersink drill bit, and a dremel tool. If you’re really interested I’ll do a small write up for it, takes about 20 minutes and it’s not going to be falling off!
