new airbrushed designs
How much do you charge for the plenum cover and cam covers done similar to the set you posted? And does your price include an exchange for stock cam covers?
Bill, You already know I think you do some great work, but that horse coming out of the flames on the plenum cover is simply amazing.

Quick question. I'm wanting to "black-out" my grille pony. (just plain satin black paint) How much prep do I need to do to the pony?

Looked good for the rest of the time I had the car
Your hood looks cool, but the flames are a little too symmetrical to be "real fire" IMHO. I'm not putting your car down......real fire is really hard to do. Check out the above website. His work is amazing.
a factory ford plenum cover based and fire runs 280.00 shipped. ( that includes a new cover) That design I posted ( horse and snake) w/ cover runs 525.00 shipped. That price includes removing the pony insert off the front of the ford cover and removing all the ribs off the cover also....a totally smooth look. To do that design w/ just the pony removed ( which I highly reccommend) would be 450.00 shipped . To do just the horse design without the snake would be about 50.00 less at each pricing level. Then as I said fire covers are 280.00 shipped.
The cam covers with the high detail ( like the ones I posted ) are 450.00 plus actual shipping ....to do the cam covers in fire is 350.00 plus shipping. This price includes sandblasting and sanding smooth , applying a special etching primer , base coats , artwork and 3 or 4 coats of clear.
Were working on either an exchange or core charge situation where the downtime would be limited to the time it takes you to install them. If we did a core charge deal it would be a core charge of about 325.00 ( my cost for a new set from ford) returned to you when your covers arrive to me.
one thing I forgot to mention....these horse and snake covers are going on a 750 rwhp new convert....guys named it the shelby ETR ( for eater....LOL) Mickys design fits right with that theme huh? Horse stomping on the snake...LOL!
to do your pony , at the very least you should have it sandblasted but not to the point you remove all the chrome but enough to make the shine totally go away. Then you use an acid etching primer and then paint . The finish and longevity will vary Depending on how high the quality of materials you buy and use ......Or we can do a single color pony for 70.00 shipped and we use only the right stuff
I'm sure Bill will hook you up. His work is awesome. He's painted like 10 things for me. Check out his website. You should see the sick flames he put on his hood! If it comes off, he can paint it!! http://uniqueautomotivedesigns.com
speaking of the hood , heres some shots of it before ( its off the car now and Mickeys adding MORE fire....LOL) the cars going to have fire running down the sides to match ...hopefully by the end of november
