Hay I have a 2008 red pony and I want to get my grille emblem painted red. What's the cheapest and best way to get that done?! How do I get the emblem off? Should I just paint it my self? All help is appreciated !

 

It is held in by 3 or so button tabs and a glue substance. You can get them off by heating them and prying up on a corner and finally get it off that way. You may break the tabs, but the new silicone you reattach the pony with is plenty to hold it in place.

I'd take it off, sand it down with some 600 wet and dry or a gray 3m scotchbrite. You need to dull the gloss all around. You can then paint it whatever color with a "Fusion" paint or even use a small air brush and an Acrylic paint and drop some Hydrographics on it for a really cool look. (Just a thought). Then spray a clear gloss or Matte on it for a final look. It should come out quite nice. Good luck with your project.
