My GT350 Tribute car

Heres my 05 GT Paxton SC Mustang converted to a GT350 Tribute car. Current mods are a Paxton Novi 1200 (intercooler & smaller pully install to be finished in a couple days), S&W UCA and LCA's, Richmond 3.73 gears, Trickflow Dif girdle, BMR adjustable panhard, Steeda short shifter, FRPP Handeling Package, 20 inch BonSpeed rims, TRCF #67 functional hood, 07 Cobra front fascia and custom GT350 badges.

When you say tribute, do you mean "Stick a set of GT350 badges on my car" kind of tribute? I am not seeing the throwback look to the 67 GT350 here. Not to say it isn't a nice car but just not making the connection to the vintage GT350.

No, you missed the point. The hood is the 67 style, the front fascia is 07 Cobra and the GT350 is for the small block version of the GT500.

I'm trying to NOT represent this car as a 07 GT500 but a GT350 version.

What I'm trying to do is build a 67 Shelby GT350 on a S197 platform, since Ford/Shelby aren't buiding a GT350 until 2009.

Maybe change the window louvers and replace the GT fender emblems over to the GT350, next big item expense will be rims and tires for a couple 1/4 mile track days this summer.

Shelby Tribute Same look I am going for...

Needs Stripes. Definitely stripes. White.

Maybe some of the inset center fogs? Has anyone tried that with the Shelby front end?

Yep - stripes and some center fogs would kick the retro to the next level...

If I do stripe the car I'll go with the LeMans stripe in a pale satin silver, the LeMans stripe is the large stripe down the middle with a pin stipe down each outer edge.

I love the hood and it's functional!

IMO I would move the rear emblem over to the right-hand side of the trunk.

Looks good.

+1 stripes and ducktail. Satin silver would REALLY look good.

Jon, do you have a pic you can post of your car? I'd like to see your rims.

Now I have not seen anyone with a Shelby front fascia and center mounted fog lights, but I have seen a very good photochop on here:

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=56523

I personally don't like it at all. Way too many lights and congest the front making it too busy!!! IMO....

Very nice car friend! I too am doing a Shelby tribute, but forgoing the badges. You got to get the stripes. I don't think there are many LL's on the site that have LeMans stripes on their cars. It would just make your car POP!!! LL was my second choice if Vista wasn't what it turned out to be (the most beautiful blue Ford has offered in years!!). And definitely a ducktail. Can't wait to see if finished.
