Limited selection of 255/50-17 all-season tires?

My original P Zero Nero tires are almost gone at 33,000 miles. I think they would have lasted to 40K miles under normal street driving conditions, but I have attended two HPDE road course events with these tires, most recently August 18 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway where I visibly wore down the rear tires on a really hot track. Given that, I am happy with the performance and treadwear of the Pirellis, but I want to replace them with a wider tire.

The problem in going to 255/50-17 is finding them in an all-season tire! TireRack.com has the Kumho Ecsta ASX and that's it. Is this as good an all-around tire as the stock Pirelli?

I`m looking at the BFG G force KDWS and the Michelin Pilot AS in this size. All I need is a decent price. They aren`t sold everywhere, Sears and costco.

I like the snow rating both these tires have as the pirellis are worthless in snow.

Not too many good choices in that size. Besides the BFG there is the Yokohama Advan ST but it's treadwear rating isn't as good. I guess it depends on how often you want to have to change tires. Glad to hear you like the Pirellis but the only thing I've liked about them is the treadwear. I've got over 50k and the back tires are down into the half way bump. Front tires look better. Can't figure out why the back ones are wearing out faster. I'm sure it has nothing to do with drag racing with them.

I have the Kumho Ecsta ASX's and I like them as much as the stock Pirelli's. I haven't had the chance to test them in the snow, but in wet weather they are fine.
