I just got a California Dream Hood off Ebay and it's on the way, Those of you that have this hood installed please tell me which functiona hood pins you are using and anything else you might want to add. I did a search and all info was old. Thanks

Go here Pins the info isn't that old. I printed and used the directions Steve gave, and they were great. I got the same pins at Auto Zone. Stainless pins, but the scuff plates were really thin, and the keys that were supposed to be stainless turned out to be chrome plated and started flaking immediately. Get all stainless, and pins that are about 4" long. See my pic in my album of what it looks like to have the whole front end off. It really wasn't as hard as it looked. Also, you'll need to turn the keys so that they kinda point to the grille pony. This way they go with the slope of the hood. Otherwise you'll gouge the scuff plates. Good luck. :nice:

backafter20 is right on correct. I also purchased stainless steel pins at a local performance store.

I used the Moroso 1/2" x 4" S.S. pin's from Summit(around $20) They are flawless... :nice: I followed Steve's instruction's to a tee, also flawless.
