Which Eleanor grille is the best???

Ok guys. I decided to put an eleanor grille on the bullitt. No flames please.:poke:
Couple questions, which ones do you like the most? Ive looked at the 3d's and the street scene. Iam trying to decide between the two or is there any other that you guys recommend ? Thanks guys.

Is there a difference? :dunno:

Stay away from whatever Blue Oval Industries sells. It looks just like the other ones, but it's not. It requires modification of the radiator support to fit.

I have a review of 2 different grilles in my blog (compared to factory grille). I am very happy with the Street Scene grille.

karrnutt 5/12/08 07:16 AM

STREET SCENE IS OUTSTANDING ! I am very pleased with mine.

I have the 3D Carbon piece...officially licensed by Ford, takes 15mins to install, lookes great. I haven't upgraded my avatar yet to show it.

wait.. isnt the "Eleanor" grill and billet grill??? In which case u can get one from Cervinis or even Blow by Racing.

DarkFireGT 5/12/08 09:25 AM

The Eleanor grill is a center fog grill. The original GT500 had center fog lights.

frost181 5/12/08 05:31 PM

yeah it is slightly misleading seeing as to how "Eleanor" has no fogs in the grill.

The center fog lights are about 4 inches away with the Street Scene grill. The 3d center fog light are 1 inch or less apart. So there is a differnce in appearence.

Exactly! When you say "Eleanor" then u are referring to one specific car and that did not have center fogs.. now if you want the looks of a 67 GT 500 then yes they did have center fogd.. like I said.. Whne I hear Eleanor.. I think of one 1 car and that bad boy didnt have center fogs.

Does the SS grille come with the mustang logo?

Alloy 07 RN 5/17/08 12:41 PM

No it does not.

silstang23 5/17/08 12:49 PM

Street Scene is the way to go. :metal:

bored out 5/17/08 12:53 PM

Is there a place for it built into the grille?

randy_tho 6/2/08 09:06 PM

Is there a comparison of the different tribar pony emblems you can get?

I was looking at a 66 like this from Scott Drake. http://tinyurl.com/4s8sxx

No one gives dimensions or anything. Would like a metal one instead of plastic if possible. (Plastic probably would last longer, though.)

This would be the most authentic Eleanor grille which is actually made by Ford... It's NOT an overlay set over the standard honeycomb... It's an entire grille assembly made to be this style. This is part of the factory V6 Sport Apperance Package and the updated 2009 Warriors In Pink edition.

Technically if you wanted to be a true heritage style eleanor you would have a lower grille with center fogs and a upper billet grille.
