Ducktail Spoiler Opinion?

I wanted to get somebody elses opinion on whether I should go with the GT500 spoiler or the 3D Carbon 3 pc. ducktail spoiler?

Also, where is the cheapest place to order the 3D Carbon one, while still maintaining quality?

Come on No one?

I have the Cervini's ducktail on mine and only thing about it is the height is just a hair higher than any other spoiler on the market. It does cut down on your rearview mirror action.

There's a lot of ducktails out there, Cervinis/3d carbon/SS/CDC/GT500, etc. Some wrap around, some go up sharp, some are large, and some are wedge shaped. 1pc, 3pc, even replacement trunk lid versions. What look are you going for?

Before I decided on the CDC rear spoiler, I almost ordered the 3d Carbon, so I'd say, if you're limiting it to the GT500 or 3dC, my vote is 3dC.

I would definitely say the CDC stuff is the best quality, if you want a smaller retro one its the one that sets the standard.

Unfortunately, I have the factory spoiler so I know the cdc won't cover the holes but I was thinking between the 3D Carbon spoiler on the GT Styling kit or the GT500 one... I don't know; I would like the cdc spoiler but I am unsure of someone botching the job on filling the holes....

I used to have the 3D Carbon 3-piece ducktail spoiler on my baby. No more. After about a year of the hot Texas sun the tape started to give out on the trunk side edges, causing the trunk section to bow up at the ends. Not pretty. After I removed it, I fell back in love with the no spoiler look. So, I guess I vote for the GT500 spoiler, though NOT the one made by 3dC, which uses only 2 of the 4 OEM spoiler holes. :nice:

If you still have the holes, make it easy on yourself-factory GT500 spoiler all the way :nice:

I like the GT 500 spoiler. But...where is the best place to get one?

Pike2244 - CDC does make a kit for you to cover the original holes.

Use our personal Ford parts guy, KC at Clevenger Ford; Here's the thread that he maintains:

Yeah I know they make a hole filler kit but IMO those two metal things are very odd looking. If I was going with the CDC piece then I would have someone fill the holes....

I know, he is the man I first went to when I decided to go w/ the GT/CS rear bumper... Thanks though!

I guess after hearing about what the 3D Carbon spoiler did, I will be going with the factory GT500. Although I really do like the CDC ducktail...
