Mine's the 4th one over. Been lowered and have 18" Mach 1 style wheels (similar to the old Magnum 500s) since that photo was taken:

I think the Cevinis B2 would look really good in Torch Red.

Here are some pics of my wife's GT, inspired by '70 Mach 1. We're not quite finished...plan to add CDC spoiler and possibly Saleen/PJ or Cervini B2 rear wing.

MY Modified 70 boss Stripes

Here is the stripe package I went with. Lemans stripes and spoiler are painted & the side stripes are modified boss decals.

Rickoshay, your's is the first one I've seen that uses the factory hood, CDC shaker and 70 style Mach 1 stripes. I like it! Who did it for you/where did you get the stripes?

1969 was the first year for the Mach 1 option. You could order it with the 428 Cobra Jet Engine and the shaker hood scoop also! It also could be ordered with a SCJ option (Super Cobra Jet) it was kinda like a drag pack.

The Candy Apple Red 69 Mach 1 with the shaker hood was in my opinion the best looking muscle car EVER!!

Thanks, glad you like it! The hood & rocker graphics are matte black vinyl and were created and applied by Daryl Stone, owner of Classic Sign & Design here in Concord, NC (ph. 704-782-2900). He is great to work with and understood what we were trying to do. We will probably get him to make up some stencils of the scheme and have it painted on later.

It's a little hard to make out the rocker detail so here are a couple more pics. BTW, note the "g" in the name, nice touch by Daryl.

I think he was saying that you couldn't get the 69 Boss with a Shaker which is true. You could get a Boss 302 with a shaker in 1970 though.

In 1969 you could also get the 428 and shaker on GTs and ordinary mustangs too.

According to this link http://www.perogie.com/ShakerRamAir.htm

I think you could have the following:
"Cobrajet"
"351"
"390"
"428" "Cobrajet"
or "428"

Not sure about the last one.

Any idea who does the graphics on the first red car in Post #3? I like the way the top stripe is on the same height as the door handle and stops right in front.

I'm pretty sure this was a car at Formule Ford in Granby, Quebec
http://www.formuleford.com/fr/index.spy. Not sure who they get to do it.

Here's a new one from the Fangperformance.com website (top/left). Here are a couple that I photoshoped a while ago (bottom/right). I always liked the look of the silver stripes on a WBlue stang.

If there are no new blue colors in 08, I may go this route with the Cevinis kit. I've alway liked the Fang kit, but I like that Cervinis B2/M1/B9 kit even more.

So far Cervinis is not showing on their site, a 69/70 style hood with no scoop. I asked them if this type hood is coming out, and if so, what is will cost. Should be less than $800.

Saw this one at a local dealership. Sorry for the bad pic but only had my phone. It had the BOSS stripe with the Cal. Dream Hood, Small Ducktail and FR-500's. Not too bad of a kit.
