Hey Kevin, I know you aren't shipping the Shelby hood due to shipping damages. Do you by chance know if I can get one anywhere here in Dallas? I don't even know where to look :/

Allan,

I'm not Kevin but I might be able to suggest a few things. I JUST picked up my hood today at a local dealership. I went there last week with a printout that looked like this:

------------------------------------------
P/N: 7R3Z-16612C
Retail: $681.75
I can get it for: (Here was Kevin's price)

Ford Racing also has it:

P/N: M-16612-C
$549.00 (Price from Sean Hyland's website)

------------------------------------------

I showed them this and asked if they could equal Kevin's price. He said, "Let me check with a manager." Seconds later, he comes back and says, "Yep." So I ordered it. The other cool thing was the parts guy included it in his weekly order so I paid ZERO freight..... Hope this helps.

Now I've got a question. The hood is black. Can't tell if this is primer or its bare color. I'll be spraying it myself so I need to know what prep is required. Anyone know for sure?

Willie

Any Ford Dealer Can Supply the Hood. It is just a Matter of Price Shopping if you want to get the Best Deal. Just Follow Willie's Post

I REALLY want to update my Convertible with the GT500 Front and Rear. I see you sent some kits to Germany, so what would it cost to send a kit to Austria? I´d like to have the GT500 front bumper, hood, rear bumper with all necessary parts. Could you please send me a quote for that?

The Parts For Germany were Sent to a Company in The States that Exports Cars to Germany. I am not set up for Large Direct shipments. They are for Resale over there. I can Put you in touch with them if you like. Also I have a customer in England who is getting one minus the Hood who is using some Export Company to get his. I am Limited on these Large Items to shipping to the States only. I can get further Details From either Customer if you like!

I have a quick question...

I guess the level of difficulty in installing a new front piece is close for the GT500 and GT?CS (except the headlights). How hard is it ? I'm thinking of getting the GT/CS front-end, but hesitant to take apart the front of my car and screwing something up.

I am pretty mechanicaly inclined and I'm not scared of it, I just don't know if it's better to have a body shop do it or pick it up after it's painted and do it myself

The Front Bumper is held on by Like 6 bolts. Should be Pretty Easy. You will need a Pop Rivet Gun though!

A rivet gun I have. Since it's only a couple bolts it'll be the route I'll go. I haven't liked any of the after market chin spoilers/facia and the CS one now that I've seen it up close and personal a couple of time just looks too good to pass up. Don't have the dough yet but I plan on getting it soon after the new year !!

Thanks
