Hey KC,
I'm very interested in the GT500 front & rear fascias. I've obtained your hotsheets and hope to order in early '07. In the interem, I was wondering how the lower splitter/spoiler on GT500 front bumper might match up to the front bumper of my '06 Stang w/Pony Pkg? In the pics I've seen, the contours look pretty similar. Have you/could you mock one up to see?
TIA, Billy

Called Kevin and ordered my GT/CS front and rear conversion kits today. Got bumped at a gas station, so figured why not?
I'll post pics as soon as it's done.

VERY 1966 Gt 350 Look! I love it! Scoop and Center Fog Grille would enhance the Look! BTMO. Nice Job!

I'm very close to installing all my parts. I'm thinking of doing the rear bumper tomorrow and the front end over the Thanksgiving weekend. I have a few quick questions:
What's involved in replacing the rear bumper cover? From the looks of the new cover, it's basically a bolt-on. And about how long does it take? Is it necessary to remove the exhaust pipes?

The rear bumper is easy, look under that back and you will see the bolts to take off and in the trunk there are about 5 or 6 behind the trim panel!! Piece of cake!! Switch over the plate light and the markers and bolt her right on!!

Thanks for the input guys. I got both the front and rear bumpers changed over Saturday! The final step is to buy a hood (I'm working on this).
I'm fairly new here so no one here knows me that well. I've always liked to make my cars unique in some minute way but tasteful -- something no one else has done. I like something different from every angle, front, side and rear. I'm going to share with you one of my proudest unique mods, my rear shot. Ya see, I've never liked the third brake light on S197s. To me, it looks like an afterthought... Ford engineer speaking, "Oops, we forgot to design a third brake light. Let's just stick one 'here' and do it as cheaply as possible." This is the way I look at it and decided to do something about it. Check out the pic!
Deleting the stock third brake light made room to do what I wanted to do with the lettering!! I think this is the way Ford SHOULD have done it.... Instead, they had to scrunch the SHELBY lettering to one side because the third brake light got in the way..... NOT ON MY CAR!!
Oh, and my license plate was not chosen by design on this car. I had it on my '03 Cobra which was transferred when I sold it. When I bought my '05s, I had no idea Shelby parts were available... until I found this website..... Darn you Kevin!!
