Basically last night came down to the final 2:00.

And for me Pop did a couple of things I didn't like but nobody's perfect.

In regulation he spent a few timeouts just trying to stop the Heats runs which to me left him 1 short at the end.

Also there was a breakdown in the plays at the end. The time you need them most. Ginobli was hurting them to the point that small ball or not he didn't need to be out there in my opinion. He was the one throwing the ball to the other team or Parker was not getting his quality looks for him at least at the basket and when all else failed they didn't go to Duncan. They couldn't score all through the fourth and that's what happened. Time and again they came away with nothing.

And I thought I was watching the 2003-2005 Spurs when they started missing clutch free throws. Some things change and yet some things stay the same.

And I wouldn't have let Ray Allen take that shot. Lebron yes. Ray Allen no.

Did Michael Jordan cry this much? I know Magic didn't. He may not have been happy but come on Lebron. You're hardly the first to feel like you were fouled. It's the NBA. It's a foul on every play. It's just sometimes they call it and sometimes they don't.

That's my thoughts

I'll see y'all Thursday

I do know this. Stern is happy. He got his 7 games and the network should be happy they get another game instead of having to show some stupid new TV show called Motive that noone is gonna watch anyway.

Coincidences?

No, not that I recall. (And I'm from Chicago and grew up during during his Bull's (and White Sox) run.

Jordan was just flat out good, he didn't need to cry to get his way

He didn't cry, but verbally abused refs (and his opponents) on the court!

Can't argue against that one,

You'd yell at the refs too if you had money on the game :heh:

The great thing about Rob was you could leave him in on both ends in that situation to get you defensive rebounds on one end and your 3 pointer on the other. And with his length Bosh would have a harder time blocking it compared to little TP or Ginobli. Plus he was just a smart veteran.

Plus it gave you another legitimate 3 to guard period.

On another note

Am I the only one that looks at the bird man and sees a white Dennis Rodman?

Yeah, it's no coincidence Rob has 7 rings. The ultimate role player.

He'd be a very poor man's version of Rodman. His strengths are mostly shot blocking, rebounding, and providing energy.

We all knew it. Spurs best chance to win was in game 6. Hell of a series though. I can't stand the Heat, but gotta give credit. They're the champs....

I know, you guys are right, it was just frustrating, the whole entire game, the spurs gave James open looks and he took them and made all the 3s.
Spurs had it, but give it up to the champs!!!

This game was over before it even began.

Yep, spurs were tired and depleted, looked as if they needed a redballs.

Zastava_101 6/21/13 08:42 AM

It was still one of the better finals recently. Especially Game 6.

As indifferent as I am about Lebron

The Spurs challenged him to beat them and he did

Obviously the lights out shooting of Green disappeared and that's the difference in 6 and 7.

And I hate Batier. And it sticks in my craw that he beat us with 3s.
